September 3, 2013: Home Study approved by Illinois
September 13, 2013: Pre-Approval finally received to adopt Elijah!
September 18, 2013: I800A application sent to USCIS
October 10, 2013: Fingerprinting in St. Louis
November 20, 2013: I800A approved!!
December 10, 2013: Documents arrived from the Chinese Consulate early!
December 12, 2013: Dossier arrives at WACAP
December 13, 2013: Dossier sent to China
December 23, 2013: Log in Date (China has our Dossier)
Gabi's Timeline
August 8, 2012: Received Gabi's file, and ask for her to be put on hold for usAugust 8, 2012: Met with our local social worker to begin our home study
August 12, 2012: Sent our Pre-Approval paperwork to WACAP
August 22, 2012: Received our Pre-Approval from CCCWA (China) to adopt Gabi
August 30, 2012: Second meeting with our social worker for our home study
September 10, 2012: Third meeting with our social worker
October 4, 2012: Final meeting with our social worker
October 9, 2012: Home Study sent to WACAP for approval and WACAP approved
October 15, 2012: Home Study sent to the State of Illinois for approval
October 29, 2012: Home Study approved from Illinois
November 5, 2012: I800A application sent in
November 23, 2012: Letter with fingerprinting date and place received
December 3, 2012: Fingerprinting appointment in St. Louis
December 12, 2012: I797 approval received
December 28, 2012: Documents certified by the Illinois Secretary of State
December 29, 2012: Dossier documents dropped off with the courier to be verified by the Chinese Consulate in Chicago
January 3, 2013: Document hand delivered to the Chinese Consulate in Chicago
January 10, 2013: Document picked up from the Chinese Consulate in Chicago and sent to us
January 14, 2013: Dossier documents delivered to WACAP and promptly sent to China the same day.
January 28, 2013: Log In Date - This means China has our Dossier!!!!
March 7, 2013: Letter of Seeking Confirmation (China Approval!!!!!!!!!)
March 15, 2013: I 800 application received at lockbox
March 26, 2013: I 800 approved
April 1, 2013: PDF from the NVC
April 2, 2013: Article 5 dropped off
April 16, 2013: Article 5 picked up
April 25, 2013: Travel Approval!!!
May 10, 2013: Leave for China
May 13, 2013: Gotcha Day
May 21, 2013: Consulate Appointment
May 23, 2013: HOME!!!
